WHAT WE DO:

At Dyslexia TLC we evaluate a student's current reading condition, assess for dyslexia and teach students how to read based on their individualized needs. Our goal is to bring each dyslexic student’s reading level up to grade level within 1 to 2 years. Currently most students are taking 16 months to 2 years to accomplish these goals. These time frames vary depending on which kind or kinds of dyslexia and/or reading challenges the student may have.

Reading evaluations and remediation sessions are held at one of several training centers located in the intermountain west or can also be conducted through web-based conferencing software, eliminating the need for students to travel long distances when a training center is not located nearby. Students or parents choosing these online sessions will need access to a PC and a fast Internet connection (DSL or cable).

COSTS:

Reading Evaluation:   $100
An evaluation is an hour long process consisting of a trainer evaluating a student's present reading condition and then formulating a basic reading plan.

Dyslexia Assessment:   $250
The Assessment procedure takes 2 to 3 hours to complete. It is very detailed and each student will take at least 6 different dyslexic assessments. At the end of the assessment the trainer is able to tell if the student is or is not dyslexic.

Sessions:   $50
The cost of student remediation sessions is $50.00 per session. Each session is ½ hour long. All sessions are individualized one on one sessions with parent and/or guardian present.

The type of reading disability and/or dyslexia a student may have determines how often they will need to attend remediation sessions. A mildly dyslexic student generally needs one session per week. A moderately dyslexic student usually needs two sessions per week. A severely dyslexic student should expect to attend three or more sessions per week.
